FURTHER DETAILS

From the area near the border with Austria, we will move in a far northwesterly direction. We will meet in Boží Dar and then we will pass through beautiful places in the Ore Mountains. Mysterious forests, peat bogs, and beautiful roads under the wheels await you.

At the end of the ride, you'll come across a monument in the form of the highest mountain in the entire range. The climb to Klínovec is expected to be the main climbing segment of the day.

If you don't feel up to a full portion of kilometres and vertical metres, you can decide to choose a shorter alternative route after the start.

Two formats: sportive style and race

Do you want to enjoy closed roads, a varied route full of beautiful places and relax at the refreshment stations? Then we have a sportive style format for you.

Do you like big challenges and want to keep your coffee as a reward after crossing the finish line? Then choose the second format, push as hard as you can and keep the total time to a minimum.

Sportive style and race classification

Participants of race ride for overall and premium/segment standings. The sportive style riders choose this format because they don't need to chase seconds and prefer the comfort of traffic free roads. However, we do have an element of competition for them. We're timing them on three climbing sections. The ranking of sportive style format is based only on the times from the mentioned sections.

Time limit

To complete the full route in the time limit and ride on traffic free roads, you need to cover 106 kilometres in 5 hours and 40 minutes. That means maintaining an average speed of 19 kph.

Just like in South Moravia, we have also prepared a shorter - 57km - alternative route in Klínovec. You don't have to register in advance, you can decide for the shorter route after the start. At the same time, the shortcut will be taken by those who fall behind the limit set at 19.5 kph before Oldřichov. The decisive point is at kilometer 26, and for the first 15 km you will practically only be descending.

Three climbing segments, led by Klinovec, will stand in everyone's way.
